My Yard Sale Extravaganza

This Saturday is the neighborhood yard sale. I’ve decided to set up a little tasty stand. Here are some of my menu items…

Summer Pineapple Strawberry Cooler

1 12-ounce can frozen pineapple juice concentrate, thawed
1 6-ounce can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
4 cups cold water * 1 liter club soda, chilled
Ice cubes
Fresh strawberries (optional)
Short (6-inch) wooden skewers
Assorted fruits such as halved orange slices, halved lime slices, orange sections, raspberries, strawberries, sliced kiwifruit, and mint sprigs

Cake Pops
Whole cake bakes as usual. Then mix in 2 cups of icing and roll into balls. Freeze for 30 minutes. Dip a skewer into chocolate and then slide 2/3rds of the way through ball. Dip into melted chocolate and stick in art foam or egg crates.

Keurig Coffee KCups with milk

Assorted homemade muffins

Fresh fruit? (this depends on my time…)

I’m so excited. What fun things have you found on Pinterest or the Internet that would make for a good seller at a bake sale or yard sale?

  1. Just as an update, I made the cake pops and they were a HUGE success. Not to mention we got rid of our ghastly large amount of porcelain dolls! We made of $350 at our yard sale and about half of that was in dolls! Thank you Jesus!

Everyone loved the cake pops, you should try them. You don’t even need the sticks, you can simply drop them in the chocolate, swirl them around, scoop them out with a fork and drain the excess chocolate on the side of the pan. Then place them on wax paper and let cool. They’ve been a huge success and with the help of these icing mixins that are so popular now, you can even add an extra touch of flavor to your cake pops after it is cooked! soooo tasty.
